Role Overview

The Restaurant and Bar Manager will be responsible for leading our Food and Beverage team to deliver outstanding service and exceed customer expectations. This will involve coordinating and directing employees to ensure seamless service delivery, managing day-to-day operations, and maximizing sales and profits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and directing employees to ensure excellent customer service
  • Managing day-to-day operations of the restaurant and bar, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner service, room service, and catering for larger parties
  • Maximizing sales, profits, and customer satisfaction
  • Responding to audits to ensure continual improvement
  • Controlling the food and beverage budget and ensuring adherence to administration, cash control, stock control, and security procedures
  • Recruiting and training staff
  • Planning rotas and holidays to ensure high standards of service during busy periods
  • Creating a team environment that promotes good employee morale and commitment

Requirements

  • Experience at management level in the restaurant service sector
  • In-depth knowledge of restaurant and bar functions, including stock control, cellar management, and customer service
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of supervisors and assistants
  • Previous experience in recruitment, coaching, training, and performance management
  • Excellent understanding of licensing law, health and safety, and allergen legislation
