About the Role
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Actuarial Science professional to join our team as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and developing our undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Actuarial Science and Data Analytics.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have a strong academic background in Actuarial Science, with a professional or teaching experience relevant to the field. You will be expected to develop links with the profession and industry to foster knowledge exchange between the university and industry, including work experience opportunities for students.
About the School/Department
The School of Actuarial Science is part of the Faculty of Science and Engineering, which comprises of five schools and two institutes. The Faculty's student population has grown in recent years, both within the UK and overseas, and its research profile has strengthened considerably.

What We Offer
The post is a full-time, permanent appointment with an expected start date of 1 September 2024 or as soon as possible after this date. The starting salary for a Lecturer will be Grade 5, in the range of £49,785- £52,549 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance. The starting salary for a Senior Lecturer will be Grade 7, in the range of £61,896- £69,114 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance. A temporary market supplement of £5,000 per annum is attached to this post, which is a separate payment in addition to the normal salary.
