Job Overview

InterQuest Group is seeking a highly skilled Derivatives Analyst to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing processes and procedures to ensure derivative operations comply with policy standards, while maintaining and updating the Derivative Risk Policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise on derivative risks and oversee the completion of daily derivative operations, ensuring alignment with market, regulatory deadlines, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and third-party providers, including Investment Managers, Brokers, and Custodians, to manage asset services activities, monitor collateral positions, and ensure sufficient liquidity for daily margin calls.
  • Identify and address control weaknesses in the derivative operations model, recommending and implementing procedural changes to mitigate operational risks, while ensuring consistent application of standard processes across all tasks.

Requirements:

  • Experience within a similar Derivatives role ideally from the Life Insurance or Asset Management sectors.
  • Experience of risk and controls with regards to OTC Derivatives.
