Job Title: Children and Young People's Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children and Young People's Support Worker to join our team at The Manchester College. As a key member of our Pupil Referral Unit, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of curriculum and pastoral care for learners in under 16 education provision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support learners in overcoming emotional and behavioural barriers to learning
  • Work in partnership with Manchester Secondary Pupil Referral Unit to address learner needs
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with learners, staff, and external agencies
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of learner support plans
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of support interventions
Requirements:
  • Relevant Youth and Community Work qualification or equivalent
  • Relevant experience working in a youth-related environment
  • Maths and English at Level 2 or equivalent (desirable)
