Autism Support Specialist Teacher

Job Overview
This is a full-time teaching position on a temp to permanent contract, available to candidates who can demonstrate a strong understanding of the needs of students with complex disabilities.
About the Position
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing educational support and guidance to students aged 11-19 with Autism and associated learning differences. This includes developing individualised education plans, promoting socio-emotional engagement with learning, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for each student.
Responsibilities
- To design and deliver engaging educational programmes that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
- To foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to promote a culture of inclusivity and respect.
- To stay up-to-date with best practices in special education, incorporating new ideas and approaches into teaching methodologies.
- To contribute to the development of a comprehensive curriculum that addresses the unique needs of students with Autism and associated learning differences.
Qualifications and Experience
- A degree in Special Education or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years' experience working with students with Autism and associated learning differences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to use ICT effectively in educational settings, with a strong understanding of educational technology and its applications.
- Good levels of literacy and numeracy, with the ability to write and communicate effectively.
Benefits and Remuneration
As an employee of Thrive Group, you will enjoy a competitive salary range of £65,000 - £85,000 per annum (pro rata), dependent on experience and qualifications.
