About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Consultant to join our team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. This is an exciting opportunity for a medical professional to take on a challenging and rewarding role, working with individuals and communities to improve mental health services.
As a Mental Health Consultant, you will be responsible for providing clinical supervision and training to junior staff members, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge necessary to provide high-quality patient care. You will also work closely with the Acute Care Services and Home Treatment Teams to develop and implement effective management plans for patients in need of support.
In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will be expected to contribute to the development of mental health services in your catchment area, working with Primary Mental Health Services and other stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and implement change. To succeed in this role, you will need to have excellent clinical skills and experience working in community psychiatry. You should also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management would be desirable.
