Business Support Officer

This role is ideal for a highly organized and efficient professional looking to provide administrative support in a fast-paced academic environment. As a Business Support Officer, you will be responsible for managing operational tasks, providing a key point of contact for PGR students, staff, and academics, and assisting with tasks related to facilities and financial administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing administrative support for operational functions, including managing a shared inbox and dealing with initial queries
  • Assisting with tasks related to facilities and financial administration, including expense claims and payments
  • Coordinating short courses, including managing room bookings and assisting external attendees
  • Ordering equipment and research support materials for PGR students
  • Attending meetings and acting as a committee or meeting secretary

Key Skills:

  • Demonstrable experience in Higher Education administration, with a skillset in Business Operations
  • Confident and proactive approach to handling tasks, with good interpersonal skills and exceptional organization
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent customer service and numerical skills
  • Highly proficient IT skills, including MS Office
