Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Category Development Manager to join our pladis Foods Limited team in the UK. As a key member of our Category Management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing plans that drive category growth specifically for Savoury & Seasonal categories at Tesco.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in category management, with excellent problem-solving, data analysis, and interpretation skills. You will work closely with Buying teams to develop a working relationship and become the go-to category partner of choice for optimization of range, distribution, space, location, promotions, and availability.

In this role, you will be responsible for building customer relationships, creating category growth plans, and setting up seasonal tracking for Seasonal Biscuits. You will also have the opportunity to interpret industry, category, customer, and shopper data to turn it into useful insights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement category growth plans for Savoury & Seasonal categories
  • Build strong relationships with Buyers and category planning managers
  • Interpret data to inform category decisions
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in category management
  • Excellent problem-solving and data analysis skills
  • Understanding of the UK retail market
