We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Specialist Community Public Health Nurses (SCPHN) to join our 0-5 Healthy Child Programme teams in West Sussex. With full and part-time vacancies available in Burgess Hill and Crawley, we offer flexible working patterns and a supportive environment.

About the Role

As a SCPHN, you will work within a skilled mixed team to promote the health and wellbeing of children and young people aged 0-5, and their families. You will provide specialist practitioner knowledge and advice assessing care needs to provide a child and young person centred, inclusive, holistic and accessible Healthy Child Programme.

Main Responsibilities
  • Establish links with communities, schools, Primary Care Colleagues and the wider Children's workforce to develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care and public health developments in the community.
  • Promote the physical and emotional well-being of children and young people, supporting them to establish good health now and in the future.
  • Make referrals as appropriate, to enable access to relevant professionals and support children and young people to reach their personal and educational potential.
Person Specification

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • Registered Nurse qualifications
  • Registered SCPHN (HV) qualifications

A salary of £32,000 - £43,041 per annum is offered, depending on experience. Benefits include positive 2022 NHS Staff Survey results, variety of working environments, and excellent training and development opportunities.
