Quantity Surveyor Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at a leading residential developer.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Managing construction costs and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations;
  • Preparing and negotiating contracts with suppliers and contractors;
  • Collaborating with internal teams to develop and implement cost-saving strategies;
  • Carrying out site inspections and monitoring progress against project schedules;

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a relevant field, such as quantity surveying or construction management;
  • At least 3 years' experience working on new build residential developments;
  • Strong knowledge of construction laws, regulations, and industry standards;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions;
  • A full UK driving licence for regular site visits.

This is a permanent position offering a salary range of £55,000 - £60,000 + benefits package, depending on experience.
