Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Compliance Specialist to join our team at Mitie. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the organisation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health and safety management, with experience in conducting audits, investigations, and risk assessments. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, contractors, and clients.

About the Role

  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
  • Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries
  • Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to promote a culture of health and safety within the organisation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. health and safety, environmental science)
  • NEBOSH certification or higher
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in health and safety management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Salary

£45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience
