This is a challenging and rewarding role within the Offender Management unit at HMP Thameside, where you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals in custody.

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual who is passionate about rehabilitation and has a strong understanding of the factors that contribute to offending behaviour.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other agencies and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a caseload of offenders and providing support and guidance to help them achieve their rehabilitation goals.
  • Working closely with other teams to identify and address risks, and to develop and implement effective rehabilitation plans.
  • Providing information and advice to offenders, their families, and other stakeholders, to help them understand the rehabilitation process and their role in it.

Knowledge and skills:

  • Understanding of the factors that contribute to offending behaviour.
  • Knowledge of rehabilitation principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work well in high-pressure environments and be resilient to change.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
