Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Lead to join our team at Altrad UK, Ireland & Nordics. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the delivery of pre-Construction and Project Execution phases.

Main Responsibilities
  • Project Controls Process Development
    • Develop and oversee Project Controls processes specific to the Contract, using AIMS and Client flow down documents, and referent knowledge.
    • Develop and manage standardised and structured P6 planning work packages, specific to the Contract.
    • Oversee project specific schedules that clearly identify the project processes and linking of activities as required for multi-functional project team interfaces.
  • Schedule Development and Management
    • Develop the programme scope and schedule, ensuring alignment across the whole Mech, EC&I and HVAC team, and Partner Contractors.
    • Develop and manage standardised Cost Control processes to support reporting Internally and to the Client.
    • Provide regular feedback to Project Management and Functions.
  • Execution and Variations
    • Manage the Schedule development, Document management and associated Cost Control and regular reporting.
    • Ensure the Schedule is an effective cost and resource loaded P6 Programme.
    • Oversee the P6 programme across Work Packs activity and Interfaces, to ensure that pre-Construction and Project Execution tasks are achieved in line with agreed Client requirements.

    Requirements
    • Essential
      • Time Served Apprentice / NVQ level 2 / C&G - and / or suitable experience in construction engineering.
      • HNC/HND (or equal) in an engineering, QS or Project Management discipline.
      • Proficient in the use of management of teams, cost management, P6 and cost/resource loading scheduling techniques.
      • Extensive knowledge and application of construction methodologies across MEH scopes.
      • Commercial competence, e.g. experience in management of Variation and Claims management.
      • Minimum of 5 years senior planning lead experience, with direct reports and supplier oversight.
    • Preferred
      • ECITB SMTDS / NVQ Level 3 or 4 ACE.
      • Degree(or equal) in an engineering, QS or Project Management discipline.
      • APM/ACostE/ other accreditation / qualification or equivalent Engineering Institution.
      • Previous Nuclear Construction Senior Delivery Role(s).
      • 5-10 years senior planning lead experience, with direct reports and supplier oversight.
      • CCNSG Safety Passport Training / IOSH Managing Safety Certificate (shortform).
