Our mission is to enhance asset efficiency, ensuring high availability while minimizing maintenance expenses.
The Role
The Project Control Specialist plays a pivotal role in guiding and consulting on cost and expenditure transparency, project management processes, and planning activities across projects and contracts, while promoting best practices throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and oversee a comprehensive project control strategy, maintaining the project controls plan and relevant procedures
- Ensure the implementation of project schedules, encompassing resource allocation, critical path analysis, and progress tracking across all projects
- Establish cost management systems to monitor, control, and report financials
- Assist in the creation, integration, and optimization of project timelines
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Resource Directors to ensure the provision of necessary resources and expertise for effective project control
- Work with project teams to identify risks and corresponding control measures, as well as potential opportunities
- Support the development and performance monitoring of key contracts
- Take ownership of updating business processes and reporting systems through to project completion
- Create tailored and/or standard rules of credit
- Develop structured naming conventions in P6 for implementation across the organization
Specific Duties
- Review and authorize all cost/planning information prior to submission for Monthly Project Board meetings
- Organize and lead Project Control Meetings
- Ensure comprehensive monthly project updates to the risk registers and value analysis processes
- Manage the integration of schedules from various sources
- Implement monitoring of progress and productivity metrics
- Define and distribute the project work breakdown structure and estimating format
- Oversee expenditure and adjust budgets in line with the project change control system
Experience & Qualifications
- Proficient in P6
- Minimum of 8 years in a leadership capacity within project controls
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related fields, with at least twelve years of experience in Construction Management, and/or relevant certifications such as ICostE, CEng, IEng
- Familiarity with ERP systems, estimating software, and SAP
- Experience in Project Management Office (PMO) settings
- Knowledge and experience with PowerBI and Microsoft tools
