Job Title: Project Controls Lead

Company: Altrad UK, Ireland & Nordics

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Lead to join our team in Warrington. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the delivery of pre-Construction P6 Programme, including constructability, construction phase preparation scheduling, and associated costs control.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Project Controls: Develop and oversee project controls processes specific to the contract, using AIMS and client flow-down documents.
  • Scheduling: Develop and manage standardized and structured P6 planning work packages, specific to the contract.
  • Cost Control: Develop and manage standardized cost control processes to support reporting internally and to the client.
  • Document Management: Develop and manage standardized and structured document management systems specific to the contract.
  • Interface Management: Interface with estimation for the compilation and maintaining of planning 'norms' from statistical data.
  • Programme Management: Develop the programme scope and schedule, ensuring alignment across the whole Mech, EC&I, and HVAC team, and partner contractors.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Time Served Apprentice / NVQ Level 2 / C&G: Minimum 5 years senior planning lead experience, with direct reports and supplier oversight.
  • Commercial Competence: Experience in management of variation and claims management.
  • Project Management: Proficient in the use of management of teams, cost management, P6, and cost/resource loading scheduling techniques.
  • Engineering Discipline: HNC/HND (or equal) in an engineering, QS, or project management discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ECITB SMTDS / NVQ Level 3 or 4 ACE: Previous nuclear construction senior delivery role(s).
  • APM/ACostE/other accreditation/qualification or equivalent Engineering Institution: 5-10 years senior planning lead experience, with direct reports and supplier oversight.
