Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to lead our mental health services team. As a key member of the therapy team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our practice aligns with industry standards and best practices.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to COT Standards for Practice, Code of Ethics, and Professional Conduct
  • Collaborate with OT Service Leads across various specialties
  • Develop, implement, and review local policies and procedures
  • Provide knowledge and guidance to colleagues, relatives, and professionals
  • Manage daily delivery of occupational therapy services
  • Conduct regular clinical audits and research to inform service improvement
  • Lead the OT team, including clinical supervision and addressing professional and operational issues
  • Act as specialist resource in Occupational Therapy
  • Participate in site-wide quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
  • Extensive post-qualification experience in acute sector clinical occupational therapy
  • Strong understanding of current national and local healthcare issues
  • Experience in supervising and mentoring staff
  • Significant experience in inpatient settings, particularly in leading inpatient therapy teams

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
