Ancillary Services Analyst Role

At Drax Group, we're seeking a skilled Ancillary Services Analyst to join our Trading and Optimisation team. As an Ancillary Services Analyst, you'll play a key role in providing fundamental Ancillary Services analysis, assumptions, forecasts, and analytical activities with a focus on current and emerging Ancillary Services markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide robust fundamental analysis to support daily trading strategy decisions
  • Engage in trading strategies, develop and maintain models, and review past analysis
  • Own pricing tools and trading-decision models, including price forecasting and simulation models
  • Provide market and competitor intelligence to identify areas to add value

About You

To succeed in this role, you'll need a degree-level education in a numerate subject, such as science, maths, economics, or engineering. You'll also require working knowledge of UK power markets and experience with statistical and fundamental modelling using IT techniques like SQL, Python, Excel, and Business Intelligence tools.
