**About the role**
As one of our Cyber Security Specialists working in our Cyber Technology Team, your role has two primary dimensions. Firstly, reporting to the Technical Cyber Security Manager, you’ll work on the selection, design, implementation and management of the Drax Cyber Security infrastructure to provide a stable, secure and resilient environment. Secondly, you’ll engage closely with project delivery teams across the organisation, along with technology and architecture functions ensuring consistency, adherence to policy and standards, patterns and cyber best practice. Focusing on the current project portfolio and continuous process improvement activities, you will create re-usable secure by designs artifacts that can be applied across all other areas of Security Design and Engineering.
You’ll support Drax Group Security leadership in the delivery of cyber risk management, driving change across the IT and OT environments to regulatory standards and assisting in the management of the audit and compliance processes. Developing, implementing and maintaining best practices to enable the successful delivery of a broad range of security project engagements, you’ll be aligned to the strategic direction of the business and have a direct responsibility for delivering a portfolio of projects to time, quality and in-line with departmental KPIs and Drax standards.
The Cyber Technology Team is part of the Security Architecture and Programme Delivery Group and is responsible for monitoring, managing and assessing risks from threat intelligence feeds that could impact on the Drax Group business, across both IT and Operational Technology environments. This includes both local and national threats from protestor groups to State sponsored espionage.
The role has a broad scope covering the identity and access management, security monitoring and remediation, secure system and network designs, zero-trust, data centre and cloud deployments, with designs for enhanced security, resilience and high availability.
**About you**
You’ll have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working within cyber security, covering product management, analysis and risk mitigation. You’ll also have demonstrable experience of Cyber Project Delivery and Design Assurance.
Excellent analytical skills and good understanding of network security technologies and processes are essential in this role, this will include an understanding of current and emerging security threats and an awareness of systems and methods to counter them.
You’ll possess a strategic and creative mindset, alongside being able to structure insights and evidence into a compelling narrative for how to realise business opportunities or overcome business challenges, and ability to innovate and instigate new ideas
You’ll have the ability to develop and maintain working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. A confident communicator and influencer; you’ll have the ability to interpret and simplify complex information to various audiences including senior leadership and key external stakeholders.
