Job Description

We are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work with children with special educational needs and disabilities. As a member of our team, you will contribute to creating a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes the social and academic development of our students.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Develop positive relationships with pupils, encouraging them to engage fully in their learning.
  2. Promote independence and self-confidence in pupils, whilst maintaining high standards of behaviour.
  3. Collaborate with the teacher and therapy teams to design and deliver tailored educational activities.

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring individual who is passionate about supporting children's education and well-being.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • GCSE Maths and English Language qualification minimum Grade 4 or equivalent is essential.
  • Level 2 - 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (or working towards).
  • Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
  • Knowledge and experience of pupils with SEMH, ASD.

Due to the rural location of the school, candidates are advised to hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
