Classroom Support Specialist

The role of a Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant is to provide academic and emotional support to students in a secondary school setting. The ideal candidate will be able to establish positive relationships with students, promote independence and personal development, and contribute to the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- To work collaboratively with the Class Teacher to deliver high-quality educational activities and experiences.
- To promote pupils' cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, physical development and spiritual well-being.
- To respond to the varying needs of the school and adapt to any task presented to achieve the smooth running of the school.
- To demonstrate a proven ability to work collaboratively within a multi-professional team.
Requirements:
- GCSE Maths and English Language qualification minimum Grade 4 or equivalent is essential.
- Level 2 - 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (or working towards).
- Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
- Knowledge and experience of pupils with SEMH, ASD.
Working Conditions:
The school is based in Quidenham and requires applicants to have access to their own vehicle for travel purposes. Parking is available on site.
