Maintenance Support Assistant

**About the Role:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Support Assistant to join our team at Spire Norwich Hospital. As a key member of the Estates and Engineering department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of providing exceptional maintenance support services, including painting, decoration, minor repairs, and grounds maintenance. You will work closely with the Estates Manager to complete tasks and projects, and provide high-quality service to internal and external customers.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Carry out general maintenance tasks as required, working from a list of requests
- Complete painting and decoration to a high standard, adhering to hospital policies and procedures
- Maintain the internal and external structure, fabric, fixtures, and fittings of the facility, carrying out minor repairs as necessary
- Keep the grounds clean and tidy, free from litter, and properly swept, ensuring all signage is clear and in good repair
- Ensure the car park is well-maintained, clear of litter, and properly swept, with all signage clean and clear
- Assist with the unloading of heavy deliveries and move furniture and other items within the hospital as required
- Collect and transport mail, notes, equipment, and other requested items between Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital and other associated sites
- Work collaboratively with porters and engineers to ensure the smooth running of the hospital
**Requirements:**
- Proven experience in a similar maintenance support role, with a strong understanding of maintenance tasks and procedures
- Hold a full UK driving license
- Excellent communication and social skills, with an open and friendly nature
- Able to complete highly physical tasks, such as cleaning, moving/building furniture, and sweeping
- Ability to work independently and at your own initiative
