About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Second Miller to join our team at our Avonmouth site. As a Second Miller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the mill produces flour that meets the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse flour production data and work with the Shift Miller to ensure quality parameters are met.
- Review production plans and schedules to ensure efficient flour transfers and testing.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers to provide high-level service.
- Prepare customer information and certificates as required.
- Operate the weighbridge and silo wheat systems as needed.
- Conduct accurate stock counts and report on commodity levels.
- Work with the Shift Miller to achieve mill and site KPIs.
- Identify and report mechanically failing plant items and perform minor repairs.
- Undertake sifter repairs and suggest improvements to plant operations.
- Hand over to the next shift in a clean and organized state.
- Work within company safety and health guidelines and promote a culture of safety.
About You
- City & Guilds in Flour Milling course (or in the process of completing it).
- Experience working on shifts in a flour mill.
