Affinity Trust is seeking a highly motivated Autism Practitioner Lead to join our team.

Job Summary

As a Senior Learning Disability and Autism Practitioner, you will work closely with young people and adults (16+) with learning disabilities, Autism, and other support needs to transform their lives.

You will use techniques built on the principles of inclusion, choice, and participation to provide meaningful support that makes a significant difference in the quality of life of the individuals you support.

Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and coaching to PBS practitioners to ensure effective implementation of PBS plans.
  • Work with young people and adults (16+) to provide support that enables them to stay in their current placements and access their communities.
  • Take time to understand the lived experience of the person you're supporting and help them build tools they will use for the rest of their lives.
Requirements

A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the area are essential requirements for this position. You will also need a Positive Behaviour Support practitioner accreditation - BTEC level 4 or equivalent - covering clinical, theoretical and practice elements.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £40,000-£50,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also enjoy a range of benefits, including access to a vehicle, health cash plans, pension scheme, and life assurance.
