Our Oxford Office

We are seeking a Senior Cost Manager to join our growing Oxford office, located in the heart of the city. Our team of 18 cost managers, spanning various levels and backgrounds, work collaboratively to deliver high-quality services and meet client requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage costs and budgets of construction projects, including new builds, renovations, and maintenance works, from early cost advice to settlement of the final account.
  • Support business unit directors in delivering business objectives and provide guidance and advice to junior team members to aid their professional development.
  • Deliver high-quality services, ensuring cost management deliverables meet customer requirements.
  • Manage projects to deliver high-quality services and deliverables in accordance with business procedures.
  • Cost planning, settling final accounts, and providing technical advice on legal and contractual issues relating to construction projects.
  • Administer contracts as Contract Administrator or Employer's Agent.
  • Mentor and coach employees to their full potential.
  • Identify new business development opportunities and drive growth across business unit activities.
  • Advise directors promptly of any issues that have arisen or may arise on projects.

Requirements

  • Sound knowledge and practical experience of cost estimating and planning.
  • Cohesive knowledge of construction methods and materials.
  • Practical knowledge of construction procurement strategies, including tendering and contract strategies.
  • Sound ICT skills, with a good level of proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Clear understanding of legislation impacting on building contracts.
