Job Description:

A year 2 teaching assistant is required for a primary school in north London. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference in the life of a child. The role involves supporting a child with autism and general classroom duties. As a teaching assistant you will be responsible for creating a safe and welcoming environment for the child to learn and grow.

This job would be suitable for someone who has experience of working with children with special needs. You will need to have good communication skills, be patient and understanding, and be able to build strong relationships with the child and their family. Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to a Year 2 pupil with Autism
  • Assist with general classroom duties, including group activities and contributing to the overall classroom setting
  • Support the social and emotional development of all pupils, promoting a harmonious and engaging classroom environment

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant working with children with Autism
  • Ability to adapt and provide both focused and broader classroom support
  • Excellent communication skills, patience, and a supportive approach to nurturing student growth

Working Conditions:

Salary: £35-40 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
