The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Level Quantity Surveyor (3 to 5 years' experience) to join our team and contribute to delivering complex refurbishment and interior fit-out projects. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Initiating all relevant work in response to tender enquiries, such as analysing project requirements, identifying suitable subcontractors and suppliers, and coordinating site surveys to mitigate potential risks.
  • Accurate cost planning at both pre-contract and post-contract stages to ensure maximum return on investment for our clients.
  • Maintaining effective cash flow through precise forecasting of payments and receipts, clear communication with clients and suppliers, and swift reconciliation of any cash critical issues.
  • Coordinating projects to ensure timely completion and adherence to plans by working closely with our contracts team.
  • Fair and reasonable assessment of subcontract valuations and final account agreements in a timely manner.
  • Preparation and submission of valuations and resultant certification in relation to project progress and contract value.
  • Nurturing strong relationships with key consultants to support project progression.
About You:

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • In-depth knowledge of the construction process, including both fit-out and refurbishment.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years full-time experience in a surveying role with a reputable main / principal contractor.
  • Excellent understanding of JCT forms of contract and contract law.
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel packages.
Compensation:

The salary range for this position is estimated at £45,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
