Job Description

Ardmore Construction is seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of engineering on site, including setting-out engineers and subcontractors, and ensuring the successful delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining up-to-date construction drawing racks and registers
  • Checking and surveying existing services prior to the start of the job
  • Coordinating and dimensional checking on architectural and structural drawings
  • Ensuring building layout is in accordance with site boundaries
  • Carrying out site surveys and surveys of existing buildings and drainage
  • Overseeing temporary works on site and ensuring compliance with quality control and construction safety standards
  • Checking reinforcement and pre-pour QA
  • Level surveying and slab edge surveying after concrete pours
  • QA for frame works and cube testing
  • Checking formwork and temporary work against design
  • Ordering RC frame materials and groundwork materials
  • As-built survey for lift shafts, stairwells, and upstands for subcontractors
  • Resolving setting-out problems and raising and tracking RFIs

Requirements:

  • BSc in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
  • Temporary Works accreditation and competence in all aspects of temporary works
  • Ability to use 4 Projects and read/communicate drawings
  • Competence in all types of dimensional control and problem-solving within the design and build arena
