Job Opportunity
New College Lanarkshire is seeking a skilled individual to join its Board of Management. The successful candidate will bring expertise in the SME sector, economic development, and financial management.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of strategic plans and policies
- Provide guidance on economic development and financial management
- Support the Board in its decision-making processes
Requirements
- Knowledge and experience of the SME sector
- Knowledge and experience of economic development in a Scottish and UK context
- Financial management skills, including audit and risk management experience
Time Commitment
The Board meets quarterly, with meetings lasting 2-3 hours. Members are required to plan in advance to read papers and prepare for meetings.
Remuneration
Board members do not receive a salary, but reasonable incidental expenses will be reimbursed.
Appointment Details
Appointments will be made for a period of up to 4 years, with the possibility of re-appointment subject to evidence of effective performance.
Location
Meetings will be held at one of the Lanarkshire colleges campuses.
