About the Role:

As a Mental Health Support Worker with Vision for Education - Teesside - SEND, you will be working in a specialist SEND school to support young people and children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. Your role will involve working closely with students, teachers, and other support staff to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs in the classroom and during activities
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students as needed
  • Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:
  • Experience of working with children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs
  • Relevant qualifications and training in mental health support or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and build strong relationships with students, teachers, and other support staff
