Job Title: Young People's Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Young People's Worker. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support and information services to children, young people, and adults regarding mental health promotion and suicide and self-harm prevention.

About the Role:

The overall purpose of this post is to develop awareness, knowledge, and understanding of mental health issues among children, young people, and adults. You will provide resources and signpost people to effective sources of support when appropriate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver training in a group setting to develop relevant networking opportunities.
  • Work with people with mental health needs and/or children & young people to provide a support and information service.
  • Develop and extend relevant networking opportunities.
  • Hold a full current driving licence and access to a car (or alternative travelling proposals for applicants with a disability).
Requirements:
  • Educated to A Level/ RQF Level 3 or equivalent in a related discipline (health, education/training or social care sector).
  • Paid or voluntary experience of working with people with mental health needs and/or children & young people.
  • Experience in delivering training in a group setting (groups 8ppl+).
