Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Respiratory Nurse Specialist in an expanding National Respiratory team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality care to improve patient outcomes in line with local and national guidelines, working in primary care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct COPD/Asthma patient reviews via telephone, video-consultation, or in general practice according to need.
  • Support healthcare professionals and patients to make informed decisions about treatment pathways in Asthma and COPD.
  • Work in partnership with the NHS in primary care, delivering a unique nursing programme focused on driving best practice, delivering excellent patient care, and improving patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • FIRST LEVEL NURSING AND MIDWIFERY COUNCIL (NMC) REGISTRATION
  • RECOGNISED QUALIFICATION OR DIPLOMA IN ASTHMA/COPD
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • ARTP qualified
  • Hold the ENB 998 teaching and assessing course or equivalent

The ideal candidate will be a patient-focused NMC registered nurse with experience of working in Asthma and COPD, holding Spirometry skills and a keen desire to deliver results with a consistent patient focus. Excellent planning and organisational skills, along with confident driving ability, are also essential.
