About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Residential Wellbeing Support Worker. As a key member of our care team, you will work closely with the Wellbeing Coordinator to provide high-quality support to our residents, enhancing their physical, cognitive, and social well-being.

Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to creating a safe and welcoming living environment for our residents, promoting a positive and professional image of the home.
  • Report any changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to the relevant staff members, ensuring prompt attention and support.
  • Assist with ordering and preparing supplies for activities, working collaboratively with the care team.
  • Develop relationships with local community groups, schools, and organizations to enrich our residents' lives through intergenerational activities and connections.
About You

To succeed in this role, you must possess effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing. Your understanding of the importance of interaction in maintaining residents' overall well-being is essential. A positive attitude towards older people and a commitment to delivering stimulating activities and social events are also vital.

  • You should have previous experience working with older adults in residential nursing settings, particularly those with dementia.
  • A strong ability to build rapport with residents, colleagues, and external partners will be crucial in this role.
Benefits and Requirements

This position comes with an estimated annual salary of £25,000 - £30,000, depending on experience. In addition, Avery Healthcare will cover the cost of a DBS Disclosure check. Proof of eligibility to work in the UK is also required.
