**Job Role:** Primary Care Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Primary Care Therapist to join our team at Tamaki Health. The successful candidate will work in primary care, providing brief behavioral and psychological interventions to support mental and physical health and wellbeing for our clinic populations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of therapeutic models, a post-graduate qualification enabling them to work therapeutically with clients, registration with a registering body under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act (HPCA), and experience working with clients and their whānau with at least 6 months experience in a team or clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide brief behavioral and psychological interventions to support mental and physical health and wellbeing for our clinic populations.
  • Work alongside multi-cultural GP teams, health coaches and community support workers in a collaborative and integrated manner.
  • Support nurses and GPs to promote well-being in routine GP care.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • A post-graduate qualification enabling you to work therapeutically with clients.
  • Registration with a registering body under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act (HPCA).
  • Experience working with clients and their whānau with at least 6 months experience in a team or clinical setting.
  • Experience in working in evidence-based therapeutic models particularly brief psychological interventions.

Estimated Salary:** $80,000 - $110,000 per annum
