Production Equipment Specialist

Austin Fraser seeks an experienced Production Equipment Specialist to join our team in Didcot.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on a range of production equipment. Your primary objective will be to minimize downtime and optimize production output by ensuring that all machinery and equipment operate reliably and efficiently to meet production demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, servicing, and repairs to prevent equipment breakdowns.
  • Collaborate with the production team to minimize downtime and enhance production efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure equipment safety and compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
  • Coordinate with external suppliers and contractors for timely servicing and repairs.

Salary: £42,000 per annum + On Call Allowance.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience in a Manufacturing environment.
  2. Proficient in diagnosing and repairing faults, as well as performing preventative maintenance on production equipment.
  3. NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Engineering.
  4. Experience with Mechanical and Electrical maintenance (50/50 split).
  5. PLC experience is highly regarded.
  6. Rope access training or willingness to undertake IRATA qualification (provided by the company).

The successful candidate will contribute significantly to the growth of our production capacity, including the installation of new reactors that may require working at height or on rope harnesses. We will provide the necessary training for the right candidate to achieve IRATA qualification.
