Becoming a fully qualified Forklift Truck & Powered Access Engineer requires dedication, hard work, and a passion for problem-solving. At Briggs Equipment Group, we provide a comprehensive 4-year Apprenticeship program that combines hands-on experience with theoretical knowledge.

Job Overview:

As an Engineer Apprentice, you will work closely with experienced engineers to develop your skills and knowledge in fault finding, maintenance, servicing, and repair of complex machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the diagnosis and repair of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults in materials handling and powered access equipment.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to enhance your technical skills and knowledge.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to ensure prompt and efficient completion of tasks.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • GCSEs in English, Science, and Mathematics (or equivalent) – Desirable
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Compensation Package:

We offer a competitive salary of £15,700 in Year 1, progressing each year to £25,000 in Year 4, subject to satisfactory performance. Additionally, you will receive a range of benefits, including company uniform and PPE, brand-new stocked toolbox, float to pay for travel expenses for attending training, and contributory pension scheme.
