Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Food Service Assistant to join our team at OCS Group. As a Food Service Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and beverage services to patients on the wards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist with food preparation, including probing food for temperature and completing due diligence paperwork.
  • Dish up food and drinks on the ward to patients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Replace and refill water jugs, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Assist with the collection and washing up of cutlery, crockery, and trays.
  • Keep the kitchen clean, tidy, and ready for the next shift, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Order stock and replenish supplies as needed.
  • Report any broken equipment to the supervisor, ensuring minimal disruption to services.

Requirements

  • Food Hygiene Certificate at National Level 1 (preferred but not essential, as training will be provided).
  • Experience in a catering role, with a focus on customer service.
  • Good time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Attention to detail, with a focus on maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Ability to follow policy and procedures, with a willingness to bring concerns to corporate attention via prescribed channels.

Working Arrangements

This is a variable shift role, working between 07:00 and 18:00, with a 37.5-hour working week.
