Food Service Assistant

Main Responsibilities:

As a Food Service Assistant with OCS Group, you will be responsible for assisting with a range of food and beverage service activities on the wards. Your main aim will be to carry out a range of catering duties, ensuring a high-quality service is provided at all times.

Key Duties:

  • Assisting with food preparation, probing food for temperature, and completing due diligence paperwork
  • Dishing up food and drinks on the ward to patients
  • Replacing and refilling water jugs
  • Assisting with the collection and washing up of cutlery, crockery, and trays
  • Keeping the kitchen clean, tidy, and ready for the next shift
  • Ordering stock and filling up
  • Reporting broken equipment to the supervisor

Requirements:

You will need to have a Food Hygiene Certificate at National Level 1, although training will be provided. Previous experience in a catering role is also desirable, as is good customer service skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Working Hours:

You will be working Saturday and Sunday between 16:00 and 19:00, for a total of 6 hours per week.
