Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Food Service Assistant to join our team at OCS Group. As a Food Service Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional food and beverage services to our patients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist with food preparation, including probing food for temperature and completing due diligence paperwork.
  • Dish up food and drinks on the ward to patients, ensuring a high-quality service is provided at all times.
  • Replace and refill water jugs, as well as assist with the collection and washing up of cutlery, crockery, and trays.
  • Keep the kitchen clean, tidy, and ready for the next shift, adhering to high standards of hygiene and safety.
  • Order stock and fill up, ensuring that the kitchen is well-stocked and prepared for the next shift.
  • Report any broken equipment to the supervisor, ensuring that the kitchen remains operational and efficient.

Requirements

  • Food Hygiene Certificate at National Level 1 – preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.
  • Experience in a catering role, with good customer service skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, with good time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow policy and procedures, with a willingness to bring concerns to corporate attention via prescribed channels.
