About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Food Service Assistant. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a high-quality food and beverage service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with food preparation, including probing food for temperature and completing due diligence paperwork.
  2. Dish up food and drinks on the ward to patients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  3. Replace and refill water jugs, maintaining a clean and tidy environment.
  4. Assist with the collection and washing up of cutlery, crockery, and trays.
  5. Keep the kitchen clean, tidy, and ready for the next shift, adhering to health and safety standards.
  6. Order stock and fill up, ensuring efficient inventory management.
  7. Report broken equipment to the supervisor, maintaining a safe working environment.

Requirements:

Educational Level:

A Food Hygiene Certificate at National Level 1 is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.

Experience:

Previous experience in a catering role, good customer service skills, and the ability to use a tablet are desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.

Personal Characteristics:

  • Excellent teamwork skills.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Attention to detail.
