About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Food Service Assistant to join our team at OCS Group. As a Food Service Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and beverage services to our clients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist with food preparation, including probing food for temperature and completing due diligence paperwork.
  • Dish up food and drinks to patients on the ward.
  • Replace and refill water jugs as needed.
  • Assist with the collection and washing up of cutlery, crockery, and trays.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy kitchen environment, ready for the next shift.
  • Order and restock supplies as required.
  • Report any broken equipment to the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Food Hygiene Certificate at National Level 1 (preferred but not essential, as training will be provided).
  • Experience in a catering role.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.

Personal Qualities

  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Ability to follow policy and procedures.
  • Willingness to bring concerns to management attention via prescribed channels.
