Job Title: Teaching Assistant Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional needs, providing in-class support, and developing and delivering interventions to promote social skills, SEMH, and resilience. Key Responsibilities: * Provide in-class support to students with additional needs, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment * Develop and deliver one-to-one or small group interventions to students with SEN, including Phonics, English, and Maths * Collaborate with the SENDCO, teachers, and other support staff to identify and support students with additional needs * Build positive relationships with students, helping them feel valued and understood * Record and monitor the progress of students, ensuring their holistic development Key Requirements: * Experience working in an educational setting is desirable * An understanding of SEN is essential * ELSA trained or a willingness to undertake ELSA training * Strong interpersonal and communication skills * Good literacy, numeracy, and IT skills * A GCSE pass (or equivalent) in Maths and English is essential; a pass in Science is desirable * A patient, compassionate, empathetic, and understanding approach to working with students with additional needs * Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the wider school community Commitment to Safeguarding: Our organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
