Job Description

Psicon Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Autism Assessment Clinician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting autism assessments for children and adolescents aged 5-18.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and/or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) assessments for children and young people, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

We offer a competitive rate, outside IR35, and flexible working days available Monday to Sunday. The position also comes with regular supervision, training opportunities, and full administrative support.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive developmental histories using preferred methods/tools to evaluate children undergoing autism assessments.
  • Observe the child/young person during sessions and ask questions in an age-appropriate and compassionate manner.
  • Review ADOS reports, developmental history, and relevant collateral information from home and school.
  • Formulate a diagnosis and provide feedback to the family in a kind, age-appropriate, and compassionate manner, including recommendations and signposting to local/national resources.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) in cases where further information is required.
  • Produce high-quality, detailed diagnostic reports within 48 hours post-assessment, adhering to DSM-5 criteria and report templates.

Requirements:

  • GMC-registered doctor with a valid license to practice.
  • CCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry preferred, but not essential.
  • Expertise in autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and/or ADHD assessments for children and young people.
  • Revalidation and appraisal processes up-to-date.

Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
