We are partnering with a leading housing provider in London to deliver safe, high-quality living environments for our residents. As the Building Safety Manager, you will lead on all aspects of building safety across our housing portfolio, developing and implementing building safety cases and maintaining the golden thread of information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular risk assessments, inspections, and audits of our properties to ensure compliance with fire safety and other building regulations.
- Liaise with external agencies, including local authorities, fire services, and other safety bodies.
- Collaborate closely with property management teams, maintenance staff, and contractors to ensure safe and effective property management.
- Provide expert guidance and training to staff and residents on building safety matters.
- Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for senior management.
- Stay updated on changes in legislation, standards, and best practices related to building safety.
Requirements:
- A relevant degree or professional qualification in Building Safety, Construction, Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in a building safety management role, preferably within the housing sector.
- In-depth knowledge of current building safety regulations, including the Building Safety Act and Fire Safety Order.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- A valid driving licence and the ability to travel as required.
