Job Summary

As the Building Safety Manager, you will be responsible for effectively managing a number of high-rise residential buildings, fostering a culture of high performance, strong engagement, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of high-rise residential buildings, ensuring a culture of high performance and strong engagement.
  • Act as the named Building Safety Manager for assigned High-Rise Residential Buildings (HRRBs), liaising with the Building Safety Regulator and Fire Services to ensure timely responses to requests for information and recurring reporting.
  • Ensure the effective operation and availability of general safety and fire safety equipment within assigned properties and associated assets.
  • Provide expert advice, guidance, and information on general safety and fire safety to stakeholders, including other Directorates and residents.
  • Lead and contribute to whole-building safety matters in internal and external meetings regarding assigned HRRBs.
Requirements
  • Proven construction experience and/or a Level 4 Diploma in Fire Safety or equivalent, with membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) or similar fire safety body desirable.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings attending resident meetings.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Ability to travel in and around London regularly.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and passion for resident safety.
  • Collaborative approach, inclusive, respectful, and valuing diversity.
