Job Title: British Sign Language Interpreter

We are seeking a highly skilled British Sign Language (BSL) Interpreter to join our team at LanguageLine Solutions. As a BSL Interpreter, you will play a vital role in facilitating communication between deaf and hearing individuals in a variety of settings.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality interpreting services, ensuring that communication is accurate, clear, and culturally sensitive. You will work closely with our team to provide support and guidance to clients, ensuring that their needs are met and that they receive the best possible service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide accurate and effective interpreting services in BSL and English
  • Work with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored support
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure seamless communication and high-quality service delivery
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices
Requirements:
  • Registered Sign Language Interpreter (RSLI) with the National Register for Communications Professionals working with Deaf and Deaf blind people (NRCPD)
  • MA, Post Graduate Diploma, or NVQ Level 6 in BSL/English Interpreting and Translating
  • Competency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
