Job Summary
Aon is seeking a skilled Technical Claims Handler to join our team. As a Technical Claims Handler, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial clients and ensuring that all claims progress without delay and to the optimum conclusion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varying range of claims across an allocated portfolio of commercial clients.
- Ensure timely intimation of claims to relevant insurer(s) and assist/support the client through any required disclosure or data gathering requirements.
- Coordinate claims from first notice of loss (FNOL) to settlement, advocating on behalf of the client to ensure their interests are protected throughout.
- Provide expert guidance, technical analysis, and support to clients to facilitate the smooth progression of claims.
- Liaise with insurers, loss adjusters, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless claim resolution.
- Accurately manage electronic claim files, process all correspondence, and maintain diaries within service level agreements (SLA).
- Attend claims review meetings and produce claims experience reports as required.
- Support colleagues and internal stakeholders with technical referrals, including coverage or quantum queries.
Requirements
- Experience in handling cross-class insurance claims, with a focus on property, casualty, and product liability.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to mentor and support junior team members.
- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to advocate on behalf of clients.
