We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Operations Manager to join our team at the University of Exeter. As a key member of our research facility, you will be responsible for providing technical management of all aspects of geochemistry across our laboratories.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical management of geochemistry laboratories, including the use of analytical equipment, development of new methods and standard operating procedures, quality assurance, health and safety, and provision of advice to staff and students.
- Contribute to on-going research programmes and publish work in scientific journals.
- Work in a forward-looking environment where the delivery of reliable and accurate data is central to the future success of the department.
- Well-versed in the use of ICP technology and other analytical geochemistry techniques.
- Experience in sample preparation and operating in a clean environment for trace element analysis.
- Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to the development of the research facility.
- 41 days leave per year.
