About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Librarian and Receptionist to join our team at Corserv. As a key member of our support staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional front-of-house reception services, managing our technical library, and supporting our engineering services team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a professional and welcoming reception service to visitors and staff, including answering queries, directing visitors, and taking messages.
- Manage the technical library, including cataloging and classification of stock, ordering new resources, and maintaining the library system.
- Support the engineering services team by providing technical information, answering queries, and assisting with research.
- Manage online databases and resources, including activating accounts, maintaining users, and arranging training.
- Develop and maintain the library to become a modern, digitally based offering, improving accessibility for users and maximizing the use of information technology.
- Manage archiving records, ensuring accessibility and appropriate collection, retrieval, and return of material.
- Provide a central ordering point for the purchasing of books and documents, including subscriptions and corporate memberships.
About You
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will have a strong background in library management, technical support, and customer service. You will also have experience working with online resources, databases, and information technology systems.
