Railway Enforcement Team Leader

Job Overview
To lead and direct a highly effective and motivated team in reducing crime, anti-social behaviour, and fare evasion to ensure railway security through high visibility patrols and partnerships with other departments and agencies.
Vetting Requirements
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. Applicants must declare all criminal history, including arrests, summons, charges, cautions, or convictions, on their application form.
Successful candidates will undergo NPPV Level 2 Vetting by the British Transport Police.
Working Arrangements
You will work a varied shift pattern, including weekends, bank holidays, and nights. Applicants not living locally are recommended to have their own transport to meet shift requirements. You may be required to start work early and finish late. Your working rota will include 1 week of early shifts and 3 weeks of late shifts.
Ideal Candidate
To be considered, you must demonstrate:
- Previous experience in leading and managing a team
- Previous experience in an environment with high customer contact
- Previous experience in an enforcement environment and dealing with conflict
- Excellent written communication skills and report-writing ability
- Excellent verbal communication and motivation skills
- Previous office experience is an advantage
- Computer literacy, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Excellent organisational skills
Location Requirements
You must live within a 45-minute commutable distance to the station you are applying for. If you do not live within this distance, your application will be withdrawn.
