Highway Electrical Infrastructure Manager

Waterlooville, Hampshire, United Kingdom Yunex Limited Full time

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our dynamic Services team in Poole as a Highway Electrical Infrastructure Manager. This role will involve managing a variety of service contracts and projects related to highway electrical infrastructure, including traffic signals, connected mobility solutions, enforcement and tolling, and electromobility.

The successful candidate will have a background in traffic signals or related fields, such as highways, electrical, civil engineering, or local authority maintenance. While traffic signal experience is preferred, it is not essential. We value a proactive and adaptable approach above all.

In this role, you will take ownership of a range of service contracts and projects, managing multiple demands and building effective communication across all levels. You will need to thrive in a fast-paced environment, ensuring Health & Safety standards, quality, and project delivery timelines are met, aligned to both contractual and customer expectations.

Key responsibilities will include leading the end-to-end management of all Traffic Signal Installation schemes across the region, managing a mid-sized team of on-street operatives and supervisors, and ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and safe service delivery. You will also be responsible for driving performance and skill development through regular reviews, setting objectives, and providing ongoing support.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of highway and traffic signal infrastructure, as well as experience in project management, ideally within highways, traffic signals, or Section 278 works. They will also have a good understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment legislation (IOSH/NEBOSH) and management or supervisory experience in a technical role.

We offer a competitive base salary with an annual bonus, 26 days of holiday (increasing to 29 with service length), a 37.5-hour workweek, and a company vehicle, tools, PPE, and uniform. We also offer excellent pension with matching contributions up to 10% of salary, flexible benefits to suit your personal needs, and support for professional development and memberships.

Estimated salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.

The successful candidate will be part of the future of transportation innovation, working with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. If you are a proactive and adaptable individual with a strong understanding of highway and traffic signal infrastructure, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
